Father Paul Eisele was born and raised in Whittemore, Iowa. He attended Presentation Academy in Whittemore, and his senior year of high school was spent at the newly formed Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona, IA. He attended Loras College and Mount St. Bernard Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa and earned master's degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana. During the summers of 1960–1963, he was Tour Guide at the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend, Iowa. Father Paul was ordained on June 1, 1968 by Bishop Robert Mueller at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City. Since ordination, he has taught vocal music and religion and served as principal and pastor at Bishop Heelan Catholic High School, Sioux City; St. Mary Parish, Remsen; St. Mary High School, Remsen; St. Joseph Parish, St. Joseph; Bishop Garrigan Catholic High School, Algona; St. Cecelia Parish, Algona; St. Mary Parish, Alton; St. Anthony Parish, Hospers; Spalding Catholic Schools; St. James Parish, Le Mars; Gehlen Catholic Schools, Le Mars; St. John the Baptist Parish, Quimby; and St. Jospeh Parish, Schaller. Father Paul is now retired and serves the All Saints Parish and Gehlen Catholic communities in Le Mars.
